Explanation of Legislative District Republican Committees
Each House of Delegates Legislative District and each State Senate Legislative District has a Republican Committee which is responsible for finding and electing a Republican candidate for that seat.  Each Unit Chairman is a member of the House of Delegates and State Senate Legislative Districts Committees of the District in which he resides.  Where a Unit encompasses more than one House of Delegates or State Senate District, the Unit Chairman appoints a representative to the legislative district committee(s) that is (are) not the unit Chairman's residence.
